Write an essay in which you choose some group, situation, or other experience and divide the participants and classify the participants into different categories. These can come from any area of personal interest, and may involve a group to which you feel you belong. This might include automobile enthusiasts, bookworms, nerds, musicians, pet lovers, low-paying job employees, thespians, intellectuals, sports team players, family types, immigrants, travelers, gamers (tabletop and/or video), cooks/chefs/gourmands, hikers, explorers, single parents, foster children, or any other group which you might find interesting.
Essay 3 includes a minimum of 1000 words and three (3) sources, with a minimum of two (2) direct quotations and four (4) paraphrases. These quotations and paraphrases may be from one assigned reading and two LCCC database sources or three LCCC database sources. After you have reached the minimum source requirements, you may use as many non-LCCC sources as you want.
Essay 3 uses MLA format, including a header, heading, title, in-text citations, and a Works Cited page.
Essay 3 contains the standard parts of an essay: an introduction paragraph with a thesis statement at the end, body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph.
