We also discussed Kaushik’s blog post: Web Analytics Tool Selection: Three Questions to ask Yourself – Occam’s Razor by Avinash Kaushik https://www.kaushik.net/avinash/web-analytics-tool-selection-three-questions-to-ask-yourself/
Provide your opinion in at least 8 sentences for ‘each’ of the following questions. You can write as much as you want but minimum is 8 sentences:
- Why do you think voice of the customer (VOC) is important? Explain with an example.
- Do you agree that clickstream data is great at the ‘what’, but not at the ‘why’? Explain with an example.
- Do you agree with this statement the author makes – ‘If you are deciding on what web analytics tool to choose you should take a really hard self critical look at your company, its decision making structure, its needs and then be honest and decide if you want reporting or analysis.’ If yes or no – explain why. Feel free to share any of your experiences related to this.
- Author states ‘You choose the wrong tool (say a true analysis tool), it will only turn people off the tool, and using data (because it will suck at reporting) and on the long run hurt you a lot more’. How, according to you, ‘can this hurt in the long run’? Feel free to give an example if needed.
