Your literature review will be a comprehensive and up-to-date review of existing primary research literature, journal articles, books and evidence for a given leadership topic.
The review includes:
A description of existing knowledge based on a critical and evaluative analysis to identify common themes, issues and contradictions (Is there consensus or debate on the issues?).
The identification of any gaps in the body of knowledge, limitations of current research, and quality appraisal of studies reviewed.
Steps to the Literature Review Assignment
Focus on the primary research question for your research and the background information needed to support the topic/question including major findings, conclusions, and methodological issues.
Conduct literature review on 1 main topic and several subtopics.
Limit to 5 pages not including references, double-spaced.
