This project is the culmination of all your work this semester. Based on what you have learned this
semester, you will argue the role of monsters in culture and use your specific topic to illuminate this
argument. Can the shows that people watch influence our culture or do changes in the culture get
reflected in depictions of monsters in media? Why should your audience care about your research?
What is the impact of your findings about this topic? You will be using parts of your other projects
to complete this one, BUT this should feel like a new project and not just a copy and paste job! You
most likely have to do some new research to support your thesis.
Required sources:
at least 3 scholarly sources (think JSTOR, Google Scholar, Project Muse)
at least 2 primary sources
at least 1 other secondary source of your choice (this might be a New York Times article, something
from the Washington Post, etc.)
at least 1 multimedia component such as an image, TikTok, podcast, video, song, or non-textual
