This is a research paper based on the annotated bibliography that I have completed and attached below. The annotated bibliography includes my research and sources I used. You can add more sources if needed but make sure to include sources from it. It needs to have counterarguments and ultimately should convince the reader for or against the main inquiry question. Make sure there is a good and interesting hook, sufficient background on the topic, 1-2 counterarguments, good reasoning for your stance. All of it should be backed by the sources(direct quotes) and good analysis. Include a conclusion. Make sure there is a clear thesis statement in the introduction.
My Main Inquiry Question: Should the US Supreme Court rule to make the South Asian caste system a protected category?
Your essay should include 7-8 sources that help explain and support a new perspective on your
topic.
Your essay should include your inquiry process by specifically detailing your questions and
hunches and then explaining the information your found to help make your assumptions.
Your readers show see through your explanation both inquiry and assumptions.
Your essay should be filled with synthesis and source integrations. Your explanation of how
sources connect should be a large portion of your reasoning.
Your essay should be thesis driven and your points should be assertive. By the end of your paper,
or at the beginning, you should provide an answer to the questions that you began with.
You should structure your essay using MLA formatting and be sure to cite your sources within
your paper and include a works cited page.
Make sure you include some counterargument by considering opposing viewpoints and
opposition to your thesis or claims.
Word Count: 2000-2200 words
Your final draft should show sophistication in your wording, your thinking and your logic.
