- Review the Learning Resources, including the Scholar Practitioner Project Directions and Guidelines Overview document located in the module Learning Resources.
- Throughout this course, you will design a proposal for a quantitative observational epidemiological study (e.g., not policy, not health education, not a meta-analysis, and not experimental) in public health. You may design it as a primary study or propose to use secondary data. It is strongly suggested that for this course, you choose a topic related to but not identical to your dissertation topic. Although not recommended, if you choose to use prior course work, you will need permission from your Instructor.
Submit the following research design elements of your proposed study using the document Scholar-Practitioner Project Research Study Design Worksheet located in the module Learning Resources:
- In 1 paragraph, provide background information about your selected epidemiological topic of interest.
- Identify the main exposure/risk factors associated with your topic.
- Identify the health outcomes/diseases associated with your selected topic.
- Identify the target population of interest and the population from which you will sample.
- Develop one or more research questions that will be the focus of your study.
- Propose an appropriate observational epidemiologic study design for your study. Justify your choice of design.
NOTE: Be sure to support and justify the elements of your submission with peer-reviewed scholarly resources.
The Topic will be:
Association of HAI_CDI in patients living with HIV,
