Recommended: include a little about the background of the book (including author’s name and date it was written), purpose of the book, as well as a thesis that includes the key terms: The Crucible and your topic area.
You must locate and integrate at least four outside sources (including the textbook) for a minimum of five sources in your Works Cited. Our library has an online search page: http://www.sjcc.edu/Library/.The quality of your sources will be evaluated and will be part of your grade for this assignment. Movies, videos, and plays are sources, as is the book itself, so do include these as well as part of your minimum four sources.
You need a thesis statement in your introduction paragraph. Your thesis statement needs to be underlined. The thesis should include The Crucible (in italics) and your topic.
You need to include at least four quotes* from the book and two from sources outside the book (minimum of six).
Using subtopics in the paper is fine, and in fact, encouraged.
