Read ^ by Allan M. Brandt (Attached). After reading, answer the questions below in an informative essay format. You must cite the article when appropriate. Note a paragraph is 5 sentences and make sure your writing flows continuously.
Part 1: Synopsis
Summarize the article. In your summary, you should include a discussion of the experiment, why it was conducted, and the outcome. (First paragraph)
In the second paragraph, discuss the following issues:
a. Would it be acceptable to replicate this study today? Why? or Why not?
b. Was this study ethical/unethical? Explain why.

Part 2: Theoretical Analysis
In the third paragraph, use one of the three major sociological perspectives presented in this course (Functional, Conflict, or Interactionist), explain the events described in the essay. The steps for the theoretical analysis are:
- you choose a sociological perspective
- apply the perspective to the article
- draw one or more conclusions from your analysis
NOTE: You will need to refer to Chapter 1 of The Real World textbook for the sociological perspectives).
Part 3: Application
Connect what you read in the essay to any material presented in this course – be sure to use at least 3-5 terms from the textbook. (Fourth paragraph)
