Objective:
Produce a drawing package that includes part and assembly drawings.
Grades will be based upon the following:
- Part/Assembly Drawings with consistent layout
- Clear and Consistent presentation of drawings
- Clear and Consistent supporting documentation
- Advanced Modeling Techniques (the following are some examples although you don’t need to limit yourselves to only these):
- Section views of part/assemblies when appropriate
- Detailed dimensioning of parts
- Relational control of parts/assemblies
- Use of parameters
- Assembly Features.
- Advanced features like swept blends, surfaces, etc.
Project Requirements (at a minimum):
- Produce at least three (3) part models (reverse engineered or of your own design). Exception to this minimum must be approved by instructor.
- Produce at least three (3) four-bar mechanism. Exception to this minimum must be approved by instructor.
- Produce an overall assembly.
- Produce drawing with an isometric view of each of your parts (no dimensions required) and overall assembly(including sub-assemblies if applicable).
- If you use any advanced modeling techniques provide a summarize list of these.
Drawings
- Drawings shall contain an overall assembly, all sub-assemblies, all parts.
- Project Documentation used to produce the project – any sketches or other documents used to create the design or complete the project including any distinguishing modeling techniques used.
