According to our readings, “With all the elements involved in caring for patients, lowering nurse-patient ratios would benefit both patients and registered nurses; It’s safer for the patients and less stressful for nurses. This translates to reduced burnout, job satisfaction and retention which positively addresses what seems like the ever-present nursing shortage.” Some healthcare organizations are choosing to hire all RN’s in hopes of helping nurse-patient ratios. Your thoughts?
