the rubric for it is:
this essay is about your ability to develop a clear interpretation on the text itself and balance your own views of those with your sources through smooth integration of qoutes and paraphrases with appropriate context for your remarks.
agree or disagree with what the authors say in specific passages
indentify a theme that you see running through the text and offer your personal take on that issue
identify a place in the text where more or less is needed (clarification, evidence, explanation, emphasis or whatever)
compare/contrast the sources: differences in their presentation of information
discuss passages from the text that sparked your interest and why
offer a personal spin on a concept and/or argument from the text
( you dont have to have all of these)
make sure to citate the sources
