Things to Consider Before Starting:
Use one of the following free editing software sites:
Google Sites
o This choice is highly recommended; Google Sites is a browser-based website creation tool set with free hosting and no page number restrictions
You may also use: wix.com, webs.com, webstarts.com, or wordpress.org
Your site must contain the following elements (remember, it is a website, not a blog):
An opening page plus a minimum of five linked pages that you have created. (If your site is less than six pages, you will have marks deducted. A reference page is not included in the page count.)
Functioning links to all the pages you have built.
Relevant, original text (meaning that it has been written by you) on each page, correct spelling and grammar, precise writing.
A minimum of four supporting images.
Step #1: Revisit your topic/theme and the information developed so far this term.
Step #2: Conduct research to learn more about your topic and to gather any quotes and hyperlinks you might want to use.
Step #3: Decide on the best images to enhance your content.
Step #4: Write the full content for your opening page and your four linked pages. Do NOT cut & paste someone else’s content.
Step #5: Build your webpages (opening page plus four linked pages).
Step #6: Test out the site and make any necessary changes, edits, etc.
Step #7: Post your “live” website URL to the discussion board entitled “Website URLs”.
