Rubric:
Organizatoin: A title page with your name, course number and course title, instructor’s name, submission date, and title of your paper
An introduction and thesis statement (the main idea of your paper)
A body (about 3 paragraphs, not including of your introduction and conclusion)
A conclusion that will restate your main argument with some afterthoughts.
double-spaced, and typed in Times New Roman 12-point font.
Sources and a bibliography or citation page that includes at least 3 sources(tow must be crediable sources) you used to write your paper.
You must consult a minimum of two academically credible sources. (Note that webpages such as Wikipedia or history.com do not count as creditable sources.)
Word Count: This short paper must be a minimum of 700 words long
Format: Your paper and your bibliography and citations may be in APA, MLA, or Chicago Style format—whatever format you feel comfortable. But you have to cite all your information that is not yours.
If you use any of the information from your sources word-for-word, you must cite the source by using endnotes, footnotes, or parenthetical citations. If you read the information and write it in your own words, and the information is not common knowledge, then you must cite the source because you are paraphrasing someone else’s information.
Grammar: While composing your paper, use proper English. Do not use abbreviations, contractions, passive voice, or first or second person (e.g., I, you, we, our). Before submitting your paper, check your grammar and use spellcheck. Remember, the way you talk is not the way you write a paper. You have plenty of time to work on the paper and, if you type a paragraph or even a sentence each day starting from today, you should be able to create a great paper.
