Write an essay of at least 1250 words answeringthe prompt below. (Word count maximum is 1600 words.) It must be in MLA format (double spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman, etc.) and have a Works Cited page. Include a word count under the date on the first page. Identify a societal problem and explain why/how it is a problem; then, offer an original solution (or solutions) to the problem. (Your thesis statement should identify the problem and solution[s].)
You should find at least three dependable
sources to support your essay. At least one of these sources should be a scholarly source. Be sure to explain why your solution is more feasible/doable than other people’s solutions/the status quo solutions.
Do also address possible counterarguments to your claim that the problem is a problem AND counterarguments to your solutions.
Your solution can build off of the ideas of others, but it should not just be a regurgitation of someone else’s solution.
