Develop an Action Plan that gives detailed steps to follow through on the strategy and make the recommendation a reality. Use the template provided and view the sample. Be sure to incorporate any feedback you received on the Background paper in your final Action Plan.
First, select the entity, agency, or institution (e.g., school district, locality, health care providers, courts, researchers, etc.) you’re writing the action plan for. Include it at the top of the page. Below that, include the Recommendation and Strategy you have selected.
Then brainstorm the steps that need to occur to bring the strategy to fruition. For each step, include: What needs to be done? By whom? By when? What resources are needed? What resources are available? What barriers or resistance may be encountered? Who should be informed about these actions? Consider all the different actors at the entity, agency, or institution that might be involved and what they can each do to support.
Include each step in the table, adding rows as needed. Your final plan should contain at least 5 fully fleshed out steps.
