For your second assignment, you will need to review one of the films we watched during the last three weeks (Defiant Lives, The Right to Be Rescued, or The Men of Atalissa). You will answer two short answer questions that you ask you to identify examples from the films in relation to the strengths and limitations of the disability rights framework. You can choose the same movie for each of your responses OR you can use two different movies (i.e. using one movie for the first question, and a second movie for the second question).
Assignment questions
(1) From the film of your choosing, identify and describe one example of how disability rights have improved the lives of people with disabilities. In your response, provide sufficient detail to describe a part of the film to showcase your understanding of the film and its relation to course concepts. For example, this might include describing a specific scene, quote, event, character, or part of the story. Then, clearly explain why or how the part of the film you described relates to one of the strengths mentioned during recorded lectures.
