Per my Professor –
For this assignment, you will write a full 4 page paper (not including works cited page… not 3 and a half but 4 full pages) in MLA formated paper in MS Word (or pdf). If you choose to add images or charts , etc. (and I appreciate a nice looking paper), know that I expect a total word count around 1,500 words (not including the bibliography).
You will take events from your readings in Pennies from Heaven and find similar events that are happening today from your Digital Music News readings (https://www.digitalmusicnews.com) and analyze how they dealt with that event/technological change/government regulation in history and how the industry is tackling the new situation today. By comparing and contrasting the two, you should come up with recommendations as to what you would do to deal with your chosen challenge.
If you are choosing technologies to compare and contrast, I’m looking for the business ramifications not the tech side. Tell me
how this impacted the business side not just the creative side. How did this affect income? Profits? Employment?

Be bold! Find other sources and make sure you cite all your sources to build your case (wikipedia is not a citable source). Use in
text citations (i.e. blah blah blah (Pennies from Heaven, Sanjek pg 116) as well as a works cited page at the end which does not
count toward the page total. A good rule of thumb is 2-3 citations on each page of the paper.
The paper should include:
1.What the problem is that you are confronting today.
2.What the similar problem/challenge/opportunity they dealt with in the past.
3.What was the successful strategy that worked in the past (or didn’t work).
4.What is being attempted currently to acheive success.
5.What do you recommend for a successful outcome.
