Based on research you conducted for your annotated bibliography and the reading and learning you have done in this unit, create your own argument paper. Check out the instructions attached.
IMPORTANT WORDS OF WARNING
While you are welcome to use SOURCES that you found for your Annotated Bibliography, you MUST NOT COPY ANY OF YOUR OWN SENTENCES from your Annotated Bibliography into your Classical Argument.
The purpose of your Annotated Bibliography was to explore research relating to your research question, and to summarize, and to evaluate those sources.
The purpose of your Classical Argument is to use those sources to defend a specific claim you are making.
These are two very different assignments requiring two very different kinds of writing, even though you may be using the same sources. One assignment is NOT a draft of the other. Repeating sentences of your own from one major assignment to another will result in a grade of zero due to recycling. See syllabus policy for more detail.
Reminder for those who want to re-do the research process in order to create a claim about an entirely different topic (allowed but not advised): You may NOT write about any of the following in this class: abortion, gay marriage, gun control, death penalty, marijuana use. This is because these topics have been over-used in student essays for many years.
