Analyze the development of two genres of popular music created by Black/Africana people. Include in your analysis, the following:
The oral traditions that informed the music
The socio-historical context in which the music was created
Some defining characteristics of the music and its related music culture
How that genre of music exhibits the roots and routes concept of understanding the Black/African Diaspora
Any other area of analysis that is relevant to your paper
