This part of my literature review looks at architecture firms adoption of the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). I need to review research papers which cover SMEs from the field in differnt parts of the world to see if there are any similar findings. I have found a few studies but I need more. Studies must be published between 2015 – 2023. I would liketo approve the chosen studies before the writer starts writing the literature review. This review will be included in my final masters thesis, it is not a class assignment.
My research questions are:
1. What is the state of awareness/knowledge of architectural firm SMEs about the UN SDGs
2. What are the challenges and limitations architectueral firms face when implementating SDGs in Bahrain?
3. What are the sustainable practices adopted by architectural firm SMEs in Bahrain?
4. What are the policies and regulations to support the SDG implementation within architectural firm SMEs Bahrain?
Objectives are:
1. Identify the extent of Bahraini MSMEs knowledge about the SDGs
2. Understand if MSMEs are actually implementing sustainability principles in their business strategy, contributing to the SDGs, and what are the barriers in both cases of implementation or not.
3. Assess the types of sustainability practices of MSMEs in Bahrain
4. Develop a strategic or conceptual design management framework to address the problem highlighted in this research.
