This is a take-home assignment. You will be asked to produce a 5-page book review (no more than 6 pages). A draft of the paper will be due in the fourth week of the course. The revised paper will be due in the fifth week of the course. The point of this assignment is to synthesize the author’s main points (in about one page) and to develop an analysis of one or more issues in the rest of the paper. Since you are not able to address the entire text in your paper (given the page limitations) you should choose one or more issues/chapters to discuss in greater depth. You should apply one or more frameworks, theories, or concepts to analyze the text. You should cite at least two assigned sources(from the assignment readings) as well as concepts we discussed in class. You should also cite at least two unassigned scholarly sources (e.g., from academic journal article and/or books). Your paper will be graded on substance, organization, and format. I will consider the importance of the issues you have raised, the integration of course material and the depth of analysis. The book review should be uploaded in the appropriate submission folder in D2L.
