Write an executive summary (2.5 pages) highlighting the vulnerability landscape that threatens a local government agency or local sheriff’s office operations.
Include a risk management approach to reduce risks to processes, procedures, and continuity of operations. Your audience is a group of key stakeholders that will brief policy makers, resulting in additional funding to expand on your findings then mitigate the issues you indicate. You can use any aspect that was covered in the course or draw from your experience in your organization to showcase your understanding of the threats, risks, and options for mitigation.
Remember, the purpose of the executive summary is to provide a high level overview and picture of the problem and action items, not the full plan or solution. Stakeholders that need more information rely on the source for the full details. It is important to be able to deliver an effective executive summary in many settings.
