formatted (Times New Roman, 12pt font only)
Do not start or end any paragraph with an outside source
or a reference to the literary work.
Essays must include evidence from the text (short quotes,
paraphrases, and/or summaries) to support your thesis with analysis. All
evidence must end with an in-text citation. A Works Cited page is required. Personal
observations and experiences are acceptable if it supports the question but
must be reserved for the introduction and conclusion.
You may also use the information from the textbook
introductions as research. All other resources are prohibited. Research must be
limited to no more than two secondary resources. If more than 20% of your essay
is based in research, rather than your own support and arguments, you will not
earn a passing grade.
