ESSAY INTRODUCTION (approx. 100 words)

Develop and state an EBP question using the PICO/PICo format. Your question should be relevant to one of the themes listed above (e.g. Improving mental wellbeing)
Establish the essay context by explaining the significance of the EBP question for predicted health outcomes.
Describe the essay structure.
ESSAY APPENDICES (3 REQUIRED) (no word limit)

Develop an EBP search strategy*. Run the EBP search strategy. Select one published piece of primary evidence that best potentially resolve the EBP question.

Critically appraise one piece of primary evidence using an appropriate EBP appraisal tool.
(note three required appendices are: the search strategy, the evidence appraised and the completed CAT).
ESSAY BODY (approx. 1200 words).

After the introduction come the body paragraphs. Note paragraphs contain three main sections:
• Point: the topic sentence, which describes the focus (main point) of the paragraph
• Illustration: evidence and examples that reinforce the main point
• Explanation: evaluation of the illustration or discussion of its significance and connections between this paragraph and nearby paragraphs
For the EBP question complete a reflection on each of the elements of the EBP process (all relevant to the theme selected e.g Improving mental wellbeing)
• Describe the search including the databases and keywords used along with the search strategy’s output
• Defend the selection of evidence
• Provide a summary of the critical appraisal findings and align this with your EBP question (has your EBP question has been resolved (or not))
• Propose and defend an effective implementation strategy
• Propose and defend an effective evaluation strategy
• Propose and defend an effective dissemination strategy
ESSAY CONCLUSION (approx. 200 words)
