Nurses have been very important working in different levels, participating in information campaigns and control. Because of this today they are a crucial factor for the success of vaccination programs against COVID-19.The need to promote confidence and acceptance of vaccines in a context of misinformation and mistrust, given that -as a consequence of the speed of research and production of new vaccines- many people are not just skeptical about its safety, if not outright resistant to the idea of getting vaccinated.
The COVID‐19 pandemic increased the telemedicine activity to provide social distancing between health care providers and their patients. Due to this emergency need, the use of telemedicine has increased very rapidly. Its expanded use has served as a means of ensuring the safety of patients.
A nurse serves as a patient advocate in protecting a patient’s medical, rights. Due to many sick patients are unable to understand medical situations, nurse’s role to support the patient. This involves the patient’s interests; at the time to treatment decisions are being made. Nurses will inform patients when they have questions about treatments. Nurses may also help patients in treatment plans.
