The Reflective Learning Journal (RLJ) is a private place for you to share thoughts on what you are learning and experiencing in this course. This activity is designed to help you integrate new information with your prior knowledge and experiences, allowing you to find deeper meanings and make new connections. Only you and your instructor will be able to view the content of this journal.
There are two required journal entries in this course. Please compose this entry in a Word document and submit. In Module 8, you will add the second Reflective Learning Journal entry to this document. The final submission should contain both Module 1 and Module 8 reflections within the same document.
Consider the following questions for this journal entry:
Analyze:
- Your interest and the importance of health care policy in the advancement of patient care.
- What you feel your role and responsibilities are in the legislative process.
- Your comfort in the advocacy role.
- What you hope to gain from this course.
Because the reflective learning journal is also a place for you to express the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing, feel free to write about any other topics related to health care policy and advocacy that are currently on your mind.
This activity will be graded using the Self-Reflection Journal Grading Rubric (see attachment below).
