Week 4 – Discussion “Let’s Create 3-Column Notes Off Of Our Coded Text” 💬
You will have to post first before you have access to other threads in this discussion. This will be the case for all discussions from this point forward.
Coded Text and 3-Column Notes:
There are two parts to this assignment: Coded Text and 3-Column Notes. Be sure to go through the details for each part. Be sure to go through the material in USLO 4.1, USLO 4.2, and USLO 4.3 before posting in this discussion.
Part 1: Coded Text
In the Coded Text lesson, you learned 6 parts to coded text while reading your textbook:
- What? Declarative knowledge: What is the concept or process being discussed? (important)
- So What? Procedural knowledge: How does this concept work?
- Now What? Conditional knowledge: When do I act? Under what circumstances?
- Vocabulary: What vocabulary words are important in this reading?
- FCD Figures, Charts, Diagrams: What information is in the figures, charts, or diagrams?
- FCD+: What am I inferring from the figures, charts, or diagrams?
Find these components in one of your textbooks, preferably A&P, and label them. Take a picture of your text, or screenshot e-book, and insert picture below. See instructions on how to embed a picture into the discussion. When embedding picture into discussion, be sure to resize image to MEDIUM.
**If you do not have a textbook, you may use the A&P textbook using this link:

Part 2: 3-Column Notes
Using the Coded Text from Part 1, you will translate that information into 3-Column Notes. See file attachment for 3-Column Note Template Download 3-Column Note Template. Take a picture of your 3-Column Notes and embed the photo into the discussion forum.
