This paper is an analysis of the relationship between forensic evidence and the legal system. You will be given a specific class of evidence that is interesting to you and research the legal precedence for the presentation of that evidence in a court of law. What are the landmark cases that influenced the acceptance of and/or opposition to the technique? What are the protocols normally recognized today, for successfully entering materials of that class into evidence? What is the success rate for convictions in that class of evidence? How has all of that changed over the years?
