Your topic needs to focus on a family type or population you have not yet written about in previous assignments. The intended audience for this review is MFTs. Your paper should speak to how to address the type of family violence you select from a trauma-informed perspective. In your review, be sure to discuss the following topics:
Describe the trends of a specific type of family violence and the theoretical underpinnings that help us understand what causes it.
Review core treatment recommendations for this issue, including the use of individual and systemic modalities.
Explain ethical considerations for treatment.
Examine cultural considerations for treatment.
Discuss current limitations in the research on this topic. Consider what gaps still exist on this topic. What types of studies still need to be conducted? What about treatment of your topic still needs to be better understood? What about this topic do you think needs to be better understood?
Length: 8-10 pages, not including title or reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
