1. There is a 30-point extra credit essay available, Mon. Apr. 17th. It is due by 11:55PM on Sunday, Apr. 30th . It is based on the culture information covered this semester (the Panoramas or Nuestro Mundo sections).
2. This extra credit assignment requires you to write a essay in English on a cultural topic that has been covered this semester. You will receive 10 points of extra credit per full page of the essay up to 3 pages.
3. As a guide for this assignment and for ideas on what to write about you should consult the Panoramas sections of each chapter. To fill up to 3 full pages you will need to expand on the information given on these pages. You should consider them a guideline or starting point, and then show me that you have researched your topic further.
4. It is very important that your essay be in your own words. You will submit your essays to a “Turn It In” dropbox so be sure you do not copy any text verbatim from any websites or use AI to write your essay. If you do want to quote a source you should site it using MLA format citations, although I will be very lenient with your formatting of quotes and citations.
5. Your essay should be up to 3 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman size 12 font, with 1 inch margins.
