Choose one country (I am doing Jamaica) that has not been covered in this class in the Unit Music and Politics (not Germany, Portugal, Angola, Zimbabwe, nor the United States).
Find 5 sources that focus on a political topic from your chosen country and the role music plays in this topic. Be selective of your sources…they must be related. Society and music changes a lot over time and space!

Out of these 5, select ONE source that you can access and read online and include the exact link: in 100-200 words, explain the role of music within the political situation of the country of your choice, according to the point of view of the author. In other words, make a brief summary in your own words. You can paraphrase, but no quotations. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE.
Ideas (suggestion): you can focus either on music and dictatorship of that country, or on protest music, or on a different political movement in that country, or how music is used to recruit people to vote, etc.
