In order to receive full credit and receive the feedback you need to help you turn in an exceptional final draft, your rough draft MUST include the following:
• 3 pages of research-based writing per team member.
♦ It is expected that development will still be needed, but you should have significant progress to show by this point.
• A reference page that lists all sources used in the draft, in correct APA format.
♦ You must also show correct in-text citations for ALL sources.
♦ Minimum 5 sources per team member must be in the draft.
• Both ORIGINAL student-created visuals – view template for details on creating visuals. There are also helpful videos in the Week 5 folder.
• Use of the approved TAR Template.
The Team Analytical Report (TAR) in 311 is the major assessment for the course. Students must work as teams to conduct research on a specific topic, and present the results of their research, along with their recommendations, both in a written report compiled as a team, and within an individual presentation using Kaltura.
Report topics will be chosen by teams after reading and evaluating team members’ Individual Research Proposals (IRPs). Please review the IRP directions for an acceptable topic list. Teams will work collaboratively to complete and submit a Contractual Project Plan, a TAR rough draft, and a TAR final draft. There will also be individual assignments related to the TAR.
The TAR is a recommendation report that will follow a specific template that utilizes elements from the required textbook. Use of the template is MANDATORY. The report will identify a problem in the area of business, IT, or healthcare. Students will investigate the background and current status of the problem, draw conclusions based on the team’s research, and provide at least one recommendation to solve or alleviate the problem. Please refer to the Team Analytical Report template for more detailed instructions on required report components.
The final draft of the Team Analytical Report has the following requirements:
The Team Analytical Report Template must be used to ensure uniform format and inclusion of all elements.
Students will individually contribute a minimum of three (3) pages of written text based on research and five (5) sources to the group project. The team, together, will construct the appropriate front and end matter (title page, abstract, table of contents, and references page, which are pages in addition to the required 3 pages per individual). Example: a three-person team will have a minimum of 9 written text pages and 15 secondary sources. A four-person project will have a minimum 12 written text pages and 20 secondary sources.
Each team member will research and write about at least one research question under Results (review template for further details)
Secondary research will be a combination of traditional print, electronic, Internet, and audio visual sources. Sources must be credible.
All sources should be documented according to APA style both via in-text citations and on a reference page at the end of the document. SafeAssign should be utilized.
Two original (i.e. student-generated) graphics based on research – such as pie charts and line graphs – should be included and cited in APA format.
The project should have correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar usage.
Only the team leader should submit the full final report to the appropriate Team Submission TAR Final Draft assignment link. It may be submitted to the same link as many times as needed to check for plagiarism issues.Once submitted, everyone on the team will have access to the same originality report. Work together to eradicate any accidental plagiarism identified in the report (if it exists). The last submission on the due date will be the accepted version for grading. Each team member should also then submit individual final, polished pages and references to the Individual Pages Final Draft link.
