Students should undertake this assessment as a group of 4 students, and one of the 4 students must be elected as the convene<span style=\"background-color: transparent; color: var(--color-1); font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\">Coursework Assessment<\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;The coursework for the Ethics for the IT Professional module involves the research for, and production of, a discursive, essay-type report. Students should undertake this assessment as a group of 4 students, and one of the 4 students must be elected as the convener of the group. All members of the group must make contributions to the overall research planning and the writing up of the essay and take responsibility to produce an acceptable essay. The tasks involved and marks are allocated as follows:\n<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;Student 1: Case For \u2013 20 marks (expected to be on the region of 1000 words +\/- 10%)\n<\/div>\n<div>Student 2: Case Against \u2013 20 marks (expected to be on the region of 1000 words +\/- 10%)\n<\/div>\n<div>Student 3: Responsible for the following 3 sections:\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tArguments on Balance \u2013 10 marks (expected to be on the region of 500 words +\/- 10%)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tConclusions and Recommendations \u2013 5 marks (expected to be on the region of 250 words +\/- 10%)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tOutline diagram \u2013 5 marks\n<\/div>\n<div>Student 4: Responsible for Abstract, Introduction, and References. The 4th student must do some his\/her own research in order to understand what others have written and the background of the topic\/issue in order to be able to write the introduction and especially the abstract, which would not be easy:\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tAbstract \u2013 5 marks (expected to be on the region of 250 words +\/- 10%)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tIntroduction \u2013 10 marks (expected to be on the region of 500 words +\/- 10%)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tReferences \u2013 5 marks. The student who completes the referencing must take responsibility for the selection of credible resources (i.e., published peer-reviewed research articles in academic research journals or in proceedings of academic research conferences, and not blogs, news or entries in Wikipedia or the like) by working with other students, the correct presentation of all references, including all in-text citations (every item listed in the references must be cited at least once) contained in sections completed by the other students.\n<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;A very brief statement of \u2018my contributions\u2019 must be included in the coursework submission from each member of the group, without which your submission will be rejected as it would not be possible to assess the work of individual members of the group.\n<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;The coursework represents 100% of the assessment for the module (there is no exam).
