Digital Portfolio task: <\/p>\n

Compile together the research and writing tasks you completed as part of the module in response to the Essay task (i.e.: \u2018Research and write an essay which investigates the topic of the on-screen body\u2019 \u2013 details below). There should be 7 completed tasks \u2013 see the guidelines below.\n<\/div>\n
At the end of your Portfolio, write a short reflection which answers the question: what do these tasks reveal to you about the purpose and practice of academic writing? This reflection should be 500 words long.\n<\/div>\n
Digital Portfolio guidelines:\n<\/div>\n
1.\tThe 7 tasks which should be included in the Digital Portfolio are:\n<\/div>\n
i.\t Brainstorming ideas: a list of ideas you had in response to the Essay task. Task length: no more than 1 side of A4\n<\/div>\n
ii.\t Initial research and forming a research question: an annotated list of the scholarship you researched, why you looked at these particular sources and how they helped you. You should also include evidence of how you crafted a research question (e.g. different drafts of your chosen question). Task length: no more than 2 sides of A4\n<\/div>\n
iii.\t Literature review: a list of the additional scholarship you researched and a commentary of how such research helped progress your research. Task length: no more than 2 sides of A4.\n<\/div>\n
iv.\t Finding the central argument: details of your working central argument and a reflection of how this signals an intervention into existing scholarship. Task length: no more than 1 side of A4.\n<\/div>\n
v.\t Planning and structure: an outline of your initial plan\/structure for the essay. Task length: no more than 1 side of A4.\n<\/div>\n
vi.\t Introduction draft: a copy of the first draft of your introduction. Task length: no more than 3 sides of A4.\n<\/div>\n
vii.\t Editing: a copy of your re-drafted introduction. Write a short commentary on how such editing positively impacted on your clarity of expression and signposting. Task length: no more than 4 sides of A4.\n<\/div>\n
2.\tThese tasks, together with the short reflection, should be compiled into a single document and uploaded to Turnitin with the cover sheet attached.\n<\/div>\n
3.\tA reminder that the tasks should reflect the work conducted during seminars over the course of the module: it does not matter if you later changed the research focus for the final essay you submitted.\n<\/div>\n
