Some scholars have determined with published government&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><span style=\"color: var(--color-1); font-variant-caps: inherit;\">documents that Germany was responsible for the war.  Others blamed Austria for the outbreak of&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: var(--color-1); font-variant-caps: inherit;\">the&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: var(--color-1); font-variant-caps: inherit;\">war given its harsh demands upon Serbia.  Yet, after World War II, historians have revised their assessment, suggesting that France was responsible given its attitude towards Alsace-Lorraine&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: var(--color-1); font-variant-caps: inherit;\">&nbsp;or Great Britain declaring war with the legal excuse of the violation of Belgian neutrality.  Yet, with the publication of the Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman, the fault of the war lies with sheer miscalculation on the part of world leaders.  Was in fact the World War inevitable?
