  1. Think about how you would define freedom? <\/em>Do not<\/strong> <\/em>look for a definition on the internet. We want to know what you think, not what someone else thinks!<\/li>\n
  2. How does your definition compare with the one below?
    “Freedom is a place of non-domination, a social space in which no one is subject to another’s will.”
    <\/strong>Which do you prefer? Why?<\/li>\n
  3. Now, how you would define a free society? How does your definition of a free society compare with the one below?
    “A free society is a society of many freedoms in which everyone is afforded the same opportunity and the means to live a life of their own choosing.”
    <\/strong>Which do you prefer? Why?<\/li>\n
  4. Before Monday, March 6 at 6 AM,<\/strong> post a short discussion of your definition of freedom and of a free society below, noting how it compares with the definitions offered above.<\/li>\n
  5. At the end of your post, describe or make a list of the characteristics of a free society. What institutions, practices, and values are necessary to enable as many people as possible to live a life they want to live?<\/li>\n
