In terms of research, however, researchers typically define antisocial behavior in a very specific way. When it comes to mental health providers, antisocial behavior and its related diagnoses are defined in the DSM-V, which has very specific criteria that must be met in order to be diagnosed with a clinically relevant disorder. More often than not, we examine the amount and kind of antisocial behaviors as it relates to diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n<p>As with most issues, many members of the general public might have 1 or 2 of the associated traits\/characteristics- it is when there are a multitude of them that we really get concerned (and thus, such behavior becomes relevant to assessment and treatment).
