\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2<\/span> The stories of this unit feature iconic characters who each \u00e2\u20ac\u201c for a variety of reasons \u00e2\u20ac\u201c act in ways that are considered deviant within their respective societies. These people often are defined as criminals.<\/span>
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2<\/span> These deviant characters commit crimes within the context of their individual stories. Despite or, perhaps, because of the focus on deviance, these crime fiction stories remain wildly popular with modern audiences.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2<\/span> Write an essay in which you analyze why the genre of crime fiction \u00e2\u20ac\u201c including its deviant characters \u00e2\u20ac\u201c appeals to readers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u201c<\/span> Can be used in any paragraph \u00e2\u20ac\u201c use in the introduction\/conclusion to support the argument as a whole or use in a body paragraph to help support a single point.<\/span>
\u00e2\u20ac\u201c<\/span> Mention them only when using them in the paper \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they should be treated as secondary sources, not primary sources \u00e2\u20ac\u201c remember, the paper is “about” the short stories (fiction).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u201c<\/span>Parenthetical citations are used with in-text quotes \u00e2\u20ac\u201c using author and page number.<\/span><\/p>\n
