Cover in the project the following:<\/p>\n<p>1. Find some data examples and show examples of calculating<\/p>\n<p>a. L1 norm<\/p>\n<p>b. L2 norm<\/p>\n<p>c. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of L1 over L2<\/p>\n<p>2.Prove or disprove that L2 norm and L1 norm satisfy positivity, symmetry, and triangle Inequality.<\/p>\n<p>3.Explain why it is not possible or why it is possible to rearrange data so L2 norm gives the same meaning as Hamming distance (difference in bits among the 2 objects).<\/p>\n<p>4.Show that norm or measure d=1-cos(x,y) satisfies positivity, symmetry, and triangle Inequality.<\/p>\n<p>5.Draw conclusions about what is important when choosing the norm for the evaluation of dissimilarities between data objects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learning Goal: I&#8217;m working on a data engineering writing question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
