The companies in each \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pair\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd are in similar industries, but at varying stages of life and growth.<\/p>\n<h5>Company pairings:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>CTI BioPharma and Eli Lily<\/li>\n<li>PepsiCo and Monster Energy<\/li>\n<li>Tesla and Ford Motor Company<\/li>\n<li>Cirrus Logic and Intel<\/li>\n<li>Noodles and Company and Darden Restaurant Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ANALYSIS<\/h3>\n<p>Review the annual reports. What can you learn from them? In addition to whatever other observations you make, your presentation must address the following questions and topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Common size income statements for three fiscal periods. What trends have you noticed in the three years for each company?<\/li>\n<li>What similarities\/differences are noticeable when comparing the two companies?<\/li>\n<li>What items do you see on their balance sheets? Are these companies showing asset growth? How are they financing the assets purchased? How can you tell?<\/li>\n<li>Ratios: Please compute and report on at least five financial ratios that we have covered in this course.<\/li>\n<li>In your opinion, what is &#8220;on the radar\u00e2\u20ac\ufffd for each of these companies (reading the CEO\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s letter to Shareholders and\/or the MD&amp;A might help you with this one.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>PRESENTATION<\/h3>\n<p>You should prepare a 15 to 20 minute presentation as if to educate the rest of your classmates about the two companies you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve chosen.
