Your exam (including answers to both questions) may not exceed a total of 5 pages (double spaced, 12-point
\nfont, 1-inch margins). A grade penalty will be imposed for any exams that exceed this limit.<\/div>\n
All references to Harvey\u2019s claims\/arguments must be accompanied by citation. (While this is required
\nfor Harvey, there is no citation required for Wolff given that it is a video lecture.) The requirement for
\ncitation is not limited to direct quotations \u2013 you must provide citation every time you refer to any idea, claim
\nor argument forwarded by the author (even when it is presented in your own words). This means that there
\nshould be extensive citation throughout your exam. Use parenthetical citation \u2013 providing the relevant
\npage number in parentheses at the end of each sentence being cited, for example (159). Use the original text
\npage numbers (not the course reader page numbers). There is no need to include a bibliography.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1) ACCURACY: Exhibiting strong mastery of the course materials. The goal is to illustrate that you
\nhave an accurate and thorough understanding of the course materials. You will be assessed on your
\nability to identify the most crucial relevant arguments\/concepts and your accuracy and thoroughness
\nin presenting them. <\/div>\n
2) COMPREHENSIVENESS: Answers that are as comprehensive and developed as possible. Exams
\nwill be assessed in terms of how much relevant information they are able to cover within the
\nspecified page limit. This necessitates concise and well edited responses that aim to be succinct in
\norder to be as thorough as possible. <\/div>\n
3) CITATION: Full citation that exhibits that all of Harvey\u2019s claims\/arguments have been directly
\nidentified in the readings (not just summarizing class lectures).
\n4) EDITING: Essays should be well organized and have no typos.<\/div>\n
