This semester, I\u2019d like you to pick a topic that interests you personally to research outside of class and to present what<\/span> <\/font><\/span>you learned in a way that uses your unique skills. You can pick any topic that is related to what we discuss in this<\/span>
class, and you can present it in any format. <\/span>Here\u2019s how to do it: I\u2019d like you to find information from three secondary sources (such as a website, journal article, <\/span>e-book, book, or YouTube video) and find one primary source on your own (and not from the power points). <\/span><\/p>\n

The first <\/span>part that you will be turning in is an annotated bibliography of your secondary sources, along with your primary<\/span> <\/font><\/span>source. An annotated bibliography is a list of your sources cited with a short description of what you learned about your topic from it.<\/span><\/div>\n
Instead of citing your primary source (that\u2019s too hard in most cases), simply copy and paste it underneath your<\/span> <\/font><\/span>secondary sources with a small description about it. Your primary source can either be a picture from the internet or a <\/span>written source, such as an excerpt from a document or a recipe. <\/span><\/div>\n

The annotated bibliography is due September 26th, but the rest of the assignment is due by October 3rd.<\/font><\/div>\n

<\/font> There is a sample annotated bibliography below for you to follow as a<\/span>
guide. I\u2019m not grading your annotated bibliography based on the accuracy of your citations; instead, you will receive<\/span> c<\/font><\/span>ompletion points for each annotated secondary source and for your primary source with a description.<\/span>
The second part that you\u2019ll be turning in is a video of you presenting your project and showing me what you learned,<\/span> <\/font><\/span>such as a YouTube or TikTok video or a Zoom recording. It\u2019s up to you how you present your project. Examples of<\/span> <\/font><\/span>past project presentations include a cooking demonstration while talking about the dish, describing a replica\/model, powerpoint, etc.<\/span><\/div>\n
The presentation portion of your project shows me what you learned from your research and will be graded based on<\/span>
the amount of detail that you include. There is no minimum time requirement, but a presentation from five to ten minutes is good.<\/span><\/div>\n

Since my topic is about the fashion of the 17th century, please be sure to talk about how women made clothes during the colonial protests and the America Revolution.
