This assignment requires each student to research and then based on his\/her research write a paper focused on and detailing the <\/span><\/span>current status of actions taken by the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Congress on the topic of development of a digital U.S. currency (U.S. Dollar).<\/strong>  Hence, it is a research assignment in which students will write and submit a brief research paper consisting of 2-3 pages of content on the assigned topic + title page + References page written in APA style.<\/span><\/p>\n

A minimum of 3 valid sources are required for this paper. As the topic is the <\/span>current<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>status of actions taken by the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Congress on the topic of development of a digital U.S. Dollar, <\/span><\/span><\/strong>of course sources must be current (within the last year) and reputable, valid sources (no Wikipedia)<\/strong>.  <\/span><\/span>A search of the web can probably bring up numerous publications that might have articles related to this topic.  In addition, the Federal Reserve maintains numerous websites\/webpages (for example, each of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks\/Districts has a website; the Board of Governors has a website, etc.) and one or more of those may serve as valuable and reliable sources of information.  Additionally, the HCC library has many databases and other helpful resources, and students can easily enlist a reference librarian’s help in finding resources by clicking on <\/span><\/span>Library Tools<\/em>, the Canvas’ navigational link to the library(ies)  and using the online chat function there to connect with a reference librarian and ask for assistance in finding sources. <\/span>

  • Every paragraph in the body of this research paper must include at least one in-text citation, but students should include as many in-text citations as needed\/appropriate to the material in each paragraph of the paper. <\/li>\n
  • Students are required to write this paper in the Calibri font, 11 point (a departure from APA style).  No spelling and\/or grammar errors allowed in this assignment. <\/li>\n
  • Students are to submit this paper as a Word document.  No other type of file may be uploaded, only a Word document will be accepted.<\/li>\n
  • Carefully avoid plagiarism.  One way to do so is to be sure to include in-text citations in every paragraph of the paper thereby giving credit to the source of the information in each paragraph of the paper.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
