<\/a><\/strong>People See Me, But They Don’t See Me: An Intersectional Study of College Students With Physical Disabilities<\/a><\/p>\n “Discussing intersectional invisibility, Purdie-Vaughns and Eibach (2008) observed: <\/span><\/span>‘The prototypical disabled person is a White, male heterosexual, and the experiences of non-white, female, or gay\/lesbian disabled persons tend to be relatively marginalized in cultural representations of disability. . . . This status relegates them to a position of acute social invisibility'” (Abes & Wallace, 2023, p. 547).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Looking at college students through an “intersectional” lens encourages us to really <\/span>see<\/em> <\/span>them, right?
