Now is the time for action.<\/span> <\/span>You have<\/span> <\/span>been developing your thoughts and<\/span> <\/span>ideas<\/span> <\/span>t<\/span>o develop a<\/span>
Quality Improvement Outcome Plan for the last several weeks. For the most part, this is a<\/span>
simulation action plan that you will not be required to implement.<\/span> <\/span>However, i<\/span>f you\u2019d like to<\/span>
discuss your plan and findings with your nurse manager as p<\/span>art of a Shared Governance<\/span>
project, that is fine.<\/span><\/span>
T<\/span>his last assignment will be a<\/span> <\/span>5<\/span>–<\/span>7<\/span> <\/span>page<\/span>s<\/span> <\/span>APA paper (not including the cover page and<\/span>
reference page) and the due date is posted in the schedule.<\/span> <\/span>A minimum of 3 evidence<\/span>–<\/span>
based references will be included (do<\/span> <\/span>not use the same references used for Assignment<\/span>
#2).<\/span> <\/span>You also have Week 5 to work on your plan and may submit your plan to your<\/span>
instructor up to 3 days before the due date for review.<\/span><\/span>
This last paper includes:<\/span><\/span>
1.<\/span> <\/span>A<\/span> <\/span>brief description of the chosen issue<\/span> <\/span>rel<\/span>ated to your Quality Improvement (QI)<\/span>
concern<\/span> <\/span>or patient safety issue<\/span><\/span>
2.<\/span> <\/span>Identify and explain<\/span> <\/span>perceived<\/span> <\/span>barriers<\/span> <\/span>to solving or improving the concern or<\/span>
issue.<\/span> <\/span>Describe how you plan to overcome them with your plan.<\/span><\/span>
3.<\/span> <\/span>Based on the Root Cause analysis that you id<\/span>entified in Assignment 2, identify the<\/span>
resources needed<\/span> <\/span>for the solutio<\/span>n<\/span> <\/span>or improvement of this concern or issue.<\/span>
Consider the cost involved, stakeholders, timeframe and potential expected<\/span>
resistance.<\/span><\/span>
4.<\/span> <\/span>Describe whether planned change for QI is supported by<\/span> <\/span>the literature. At least<\/span>
three new scholarly resources required.<\/span><\/span>
5.<\/span> <\/span>Present and describe<\/span> <\/span>your<\/span> <\/span>measurable<\/span> <\/span>goal<\/span>(s)<\/span> <\/span>to improve<\/span> <\/span>or resolve the<\/span>
concern\/issue<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>Assure goal(s) follow the SMART goal criteria.<\/span><\/span>
6.<\/span> <\/span>Fully describe orderly process with actual action<\/span> <\/span>steps<\/span> <\/span>you suggest<\/span> <\/span>for<\/span> <\/span>Quality<\/span>
