1. You
\nshould read your partner<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/b>s work three times. First, read it all
\nthe way through without stopping to get the overall effect. Did it make sense?
\nCould you follow their logic? <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

2. <\/span><\/b>For
\nthe second time around, mark up the essay as you go, editing it in a Word doc.
\nMake comments on their reasoning, examples, syntax (the way the sentences are
\nformed). Are they too cluttered? Too bare? Do they need more details? Does the
\norganization make sense? <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

3. <\/span><\/b>Lastly,
\nread through one more time, picking up anything you might have missed. In your
\nletter, tell the writer what<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/b>s working well and what needs
\nimprovement. Be constructive in your criticism, aiming to make the essay the
\nbest version of itself it can be. Remove personal taste and opinion from the
\nequation. Make sure you use the vocabulary and concepts from relevant lessons.

4.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>A comment should be at least three sentences, and should include what
\nyou learned from their response, whether you agree\/disagree and why, further
\nquestions on their perspective, or your own thoughts on an idea they shared.
