Each student should determine how classic strategic conceptual

\npractical sense in hospitality or tourism. The student should explore the
\nevolution of the strategic conceptual framework \/ model and assess its current
\nusefulness. Any classic framework may be explored as justified, but emphasis
\nshould be on those taught in the unit. In other words, students should answer
\nthe following questions: do the selected and
\napplied strategic analysis models help (or not) the management make strategic
\ndecisions effectively, and to what extent?<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Discuss how one or more strategic management conceptual frameworks\/models
\ncan be applied and used for\/in this organisation. The outcomes of this report
\nmust be in the form of conclusions and recommendations on the usefulness of the
\nmodel(s) for the selected organisation. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students
\nare expected to use reliable, relevant, and current resources to help build their
\narguments, but they are also expected to build their own<\/b> analysis of the
\nmodels<\/b>. As this report contains 2,500 words, students should use between
\n15 and 18 peer-reviewed secondary resources<\/b>. All resources<\/b>
\n(including photos, graphics, videos) must be referenced<\/b> according to the
\nMMU Harvard<\/b> Referencing style.<\/span>

Although the main content will depend on the student\u2019s individual

Introduce the case study briefly. Mention the main characters, give a
\nbrief overview of the company and explain clearly the main challenge(s) and
\nissue(s) the company must address.<\/span><\/p>\n

Main part<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n

Use at least 4<\/b> strategic conceptual frameworks (taught
\nstrategic analysis models<\/i>) to analyse the company. Explain briefly what
\neach model is and then, apply it to your case study using the support of
\nreliable resources with proper citations. The structure of the main part
\ndepends on your choice of models, and it is suggested that you divide it based
\non them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim here is not simply to summarise your discussion of the models
\nbut most importantly, to critically evaluate their usefulness. To what extent
\ncould the selected and applied strategic analysis models help (or not) the
\nmanagement (and you) make strategic decisions effectively? What were their
\nbenefits and what were their shortcomings? What recommendations would you make
\nto the management about dealing with the challenge(s) and issue(s) you
\nidentified in the introduction and analysed in the main part of your report?
\nThis is a very important part and you are strongly advised to write it after
\ncareful thought.<\/span><\/p>\n
