This could happen for a number of reasons.  It might be that certain topics feel awkward and unnatural to ask about, or we might be concerned about not knowing how to handle their response.  We might be afraid of asking something that may be misconstrued, so we avoid asking the question altogether.  Reflect on histories you have taken in the course of your nursing practice.  Are there particular areas that you find difficult to bring up?
