\nover time and underscores the urgent need for effective countermeasures. The
\nfindings of this study hold paramount importance as they address the imperative
\nconcern of strategic threats posed by state actors utilizing disinformation on
\nsocial media, with consequences ranging from the erosion of U.S. national
\nsecurity to the undermining of trust in democratic institutions. Notably, state
\nactors skillfully exploit the U.S.’s limited capacity to combat social media
\ndisinformation, leveraging their advantage on platforms to achieve their
\nstrategic objectives. Countries such as Russia, China, Iran, Syria, and North
\nKorea adeptly navigate the digital battlefield, employing disinformation
\ncampaigns on social media to further their strategic interests. To counter
\nthese ongoing threats, a comprehensive understanding of these tactics is
\nimperative, necessitating enhanced intelligence efforts and the development of
\nholistic approaches to combat social media disinformation perpetrated by state
