Task Format:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

You
\nwill explore a ‘healthy ageing’ topic portrayed in a media presentation or
\narticle.   The healthy ageing topic could be about exercise or social
\ngroups or volunteer work for example. You will prepare a presentation that will
\narticulate your analysis of the experience of healthy ageing portrayed and
\nrelate this to a theory of ageing. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You
\nwill provide a separate transcript that includes a reference list. The
\ntranscript is a copy of the script you prepared for your narration in the PowerPoint. I WILL DO THE NARRATION.<\/b><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Task Instructions:<\/b><\/p>\n

1.  Choose a healthy ageing topic that is featured in a recent <\/b>media
\nstory (within the last 12 months if possible<\/b>).  This could be from
\ntelevision, printed or online material.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Link the story you have chosen to the experience of ageing and apply
\nthe analysis of the experience to one theory of ageing.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.  <\/b>Choose one<\/b> theory from the
\nfollowing options:<\/span><\/p>\n

Option 1<\/span><\/b>– Activity Theory<\/span><\/p>\n

Option 2<\/span><\/b> – Continuity Theory<\/span><\/p>\n

Option 3<\/span><\/b> – Erikson\u2019s theory of psychosocial development.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

4. Write a script for your oral narration in a Word document <\/span><\/p>\n

5.  You may use bullet points in your PowerPoint slide.  Do
\nnot use (extra) text boxes. Picture\/image is optional (no marks lost or
\ngained).<\/span><\/p>\n

6. You are required to provide (written) in-text references on your
\nPowerPoint slide and a separate reference list on your transcript. <\/span><\/p>\n

7.  Use APA 7th edition for your referencing system. 
\n References are to be no more than 10 years old unless it is seminal
\nwork.   Use literature that is relevant and from peer-reviewed
\nscholarly sources such as journal articles, professional or government
\nwebsites.   <\/span><\/p>\n
